ACCOUNT AND TRANSACTION SECURITY

Security

Last updated: September 16, 2026. This page describes the main security principles used to protect AGS Pay accounts, information and money-transfer operations, as well as the precautions customers should take.

1. Protecting account access

AGS Pay designs its account flows to limit access to authorized users. Depending on the device and available features, authentication, session-locking and verification mechanisms may be used and may evolve as additional safeguards are introduced.

2. Identity verification

Identity verification helps protect customers and the service against accounts created or used under a false identity. Documents or additional information may be requested, and specialized providers may support verification where appropriate.

3. Transaction controls

Some operations may be subject to automated or manual controls designed to identify inconsistencies, unusual behaviour or matters requiring review. A transaction may be delayed while a security or compliance check is completed.

4. Internal access and providers

Access to information should be limited to people and functions that need it to provide, administer, secure or control the service. Where providers are involved, AGS Pay seeks to limit information to what is reasonably necessary for their role.

5. Protecting communications and data

AGS Pay uses security practices appropriate to its architecture to reduce risks when data is processed or transmitted. Detailed defensive configurations and internal security mechanisms are not published because doing so could reduce their effectiveness.

6. Your device and security codes

Keep control of your phone and email account, use a device lock and never share passwords or verification codes. AGS Pay should not need you to give your full password to a person in order to receive customer support.

7. Phishing and suspicious messages

Be cautious with messages that create urgency, request a secret code or ask you to transfer funds to an unfamiliar destination. If you are unsure whether a message came from AGS Pay, use the contact information published on the official website instead of contact details contained in the suspicious message.

8. Activity you do not recognize

If you notice a sign-in, account change or transaction you do not recognize, contact AGS Pay promptly. Provide information useful to the review but never share secret codes. Additional verification may be required before sensitive account details are discussed.

9. Availability and incidents

No digital system can be represented as completely free of risk or interruption. If an incident affects the service, AGS Pay may take protective steps, temporarily limit functions, conduct reviews and communicate with affected people when appropriate or required.

10. Contact us

For a security question or concern about your AGS Pay account, email support@agspay.ca. Never send your password, PIN or authentication code by email.
