Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026. This Policy explains how AGS Pay Inc. collects, uses, discloses, protects and retains personal information in connection with its website, mobile application, account creation and management, identity verification, money transfers and customer support.
1. Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to visitors to the AGS Pay website, people who create or use an AGS Pay account, senders of funds, and beneficiary information required to complete a transfer. It also covers interactions with customer support and the security, fraud-prevention and compliance functions connected with the service.
2. Consent and account creation
Before creating an account, users are given access to the Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy. By selecting the acceptance box and continuing, the user confirms that these documents were made available and, where consent is the appropriate basis, agrees to the personal-information practices described here. AGS Pay does not require a new general acceptance of these documents for every transfer, although a new notice or consent may be presented if a material change requires it.
3. Identity and profile information
Depending on the features used, AGS Pay may collect your first and last name, date of birth, residential address, country of residence, email address, telephone number and account-profile information. We may also keep your account status, language, preferences and information reasonably required to manage the customer relationship.
4. Identity verification — KYC
To verify identity and meet compliance requirements, AGS Pay or a specialized service provider may request government-issued identification and the information shown on it. Additional information may be requested to confirm identity, review an operation or satisfy an applicable requirement. A verification may be automated or may require additional or manual review depending on the information received and the provider used.
5. Financial and payment information
When you initiate a payment, information necessary to process the selected payment method, authorize and reconcile the operation, prevent fraud and issue a refund may be processed. Where a payment provider handles the payment, certain payment data may be collected directly by that provider. AGS Pay seeks to avoid retaining complete payment-card information when it is not required for AGS Pay’s role.
6. Beneficiary information
To complete a transfer, AGS Pay may process the beneficiary’s first and last name, telephone number, destination country, selected receiving network or method and other information necessary for payout. The sender is responsible for providing accurate information and for being authorized to provide the beneficiary’s information for this purpose.
7. Transfer information
AGS Pay may record the amount sent, currency, fees, exchange rate, expected or actual payout amount, destination country, receiving method, transaction reference, date and time, processing statuses, operational events, refund information and other data needed to provide transaction history and tracking.
8. Compliance information
Where necessary, AGS Pay may collect or generate information used for fraud prevention, anti-money-laundering controls, review of unusual activity and regulatory record keeping. In some circumstances, additional information about a transaction, its purpose, the relationship to the beneficiary or the source of funds may be requested.
9. Technical and application-use data
The website or app may generate technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, sign-in events, technical errors, notification identifiers and security signals. This information may be used to maintain the service, diagnose problems, protect accounts and identify unusual activity.
10. Phone contacts
If AGS Pay allows you to select a beneficiary from your phone contacts, access depends on the permission you grant on your device. Information used for this feature should be limited to what is needed to help select or enter a beneficiary. You can manage application permissions in your device settings.
11. Why AGS Pay uses information
Information may be used to create and secure accounts, verify identity, provide requested features, prepare and execute transfers, display history and tracking, calculate transaction information, process payments and refunds, communicate with customers, provide support, prevent fraud, perform compliance controls, resolve technical incidents and satisfy applicable obligations.
12. Transactional communications
AGS Pay may send communications necessary for the operation of an account or transaction, such as verification codes, security alerts, confirmations, receipts and transfer-status updates. These operational messages are separate from promotional communications. Where marketing communications are offered, customer choices and applicable requirements will be respected.
13. Service providers and receiving networks
To provide the service, AGS Pay may share information that is reasonably necessary with categories of providers such as hosting and infrastructure providers, identity-verification services, payment processors, payout partners, receiving networks, communications and notification services, security and fraud-prevention tools, compliance providers and support services.
14. Disclosures required or permitted by law
Information may be disclosed when required or permitted by law, including in response to a regulatory obligation, a legally valid request from a competent authority, legal proceedings, or where disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect rights, security or the integrity of the service, subject to applicable legal limits.
15. Processing outside Canada
International transfers and certain technology services may require information to be processed, stored or accessed from other jurisdictions. In those circumstances, information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed and may be accessible to authorities in accordance with local law. AGS Pay considers the nature of the information and the role of its providers when arranging these services.
16. Retention of information
AGS Pay retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, security and record-keeping requirements. Closing an account therefore does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of all information. After applicable retention periods, information may be deleted, anonymized or made inaccessible under the procedures then in effect.
17. Security safeguards
AGS Pay uses administrative, organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and reasonably foreseeable risks. Measures may include access controls, authentication mechanisms, event logging, infrastructure protections and internal procedures. No computer system or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
18. Your responsibility for account security
You must protect your device, password, verification codes and any authentication method connected with your account. Never provide a security code to someone who asks for it. A lost device, unusual sign-in or unrecognized transaction should be reported to AGS Pay promptly.
19. Access and correction
Subject to exceptions under applicable requirements, you may contact AGS Pay to request access to personal information about you or correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete. AGS Pay may require reasonable identity verification before responding to protect the account and the information involved.
20. Withdrawal of consent
Where processing is based on consent and withdrawal is legally available, you may contact AGS Pay to withdraw that consent, subject to reasonable notice and consequences that will be explained. Withdrawal may prevent AGS Pay from providing a feature when the information is necessary for that feature. It does not cancel legal retention obligations or other processing authorized or required by law.
21. Closing an account
An account can be closed in the app: More → My profile → Delete my account → confirm. After successful processing, the account holder is signed out and can no longer sign in to that account. This closure does not automatically erase profile data, transactions, identity verification records or other associated information. To request erasure of associated data or learn about retention requirements applicable to your case, contact support@agspay.ca. Also see the account and data deletion page.
22. Information about minors
AGS Pay accounts and money-transfer services are intended for persons who meet the age and eligibility requirements presented by the service. AGS Pay does not intend to knowingly create accounts for persons who do not meet those requirements. If information has been provided in error, contact AGS Pay so the situation can be reviewed.
23. Accuracy of information
Customers should keep their account information accurate and current and verify beneficiary details before confirming a transfer. AGS Pay may request updated information when reasonably necessary for security, service delivery or compliance. Incorrect information can delay verification, payment or delivery.
24. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated as services, technologies, providers or applicable requirements evolve. The date at the beginning identifies the published version. If a change requires specific notice or renewed consent, AGS Pay will use an appropriate process.
25. Privacy questions and requests
For questions about this Policy, requests for access or correction, or a privacy concern, email support@agspay.ca. Never send your password, PIN or authentication code by email.
