Frequently asked questions
Find detailed explanations about transfers, rates, receiving funds, tracking and account security.
Which countries are available with AGS Pay?
The destinations and their availability appear in the Countries section and are updated from AGS Pay. The app shows the receiving methods available for each destination when you prepare your transfer.
What fees will I pay?
Before you confirm a transaction, AGS Pay shows the information applicable to that operation, including the amount sent, fees, exchange rate and estimated amount received. Review the summary before paying because fees can vary by transaction.
How does the exchange rate work?
The exchange rate shows how much destination currency corresponds to one Canadian dollar. The website calculator provides an estimate using AGS Pay rates. For a real transaction, the rate shown in that transaction summary before confirmation is the relevant rate.
How does the beneficiary receive the money?
The receiving method depends on the destination and networks available for the selected corridor. Supported Mobile Money options can include Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money or Wave depending on availability. Carefully verify the beneficiary’s name, number and receiving method.
How long does a transfer take?
Timing can vary by payment method, destination, receiving network, verification requirements and provider availability. The app shows the known transfer status, and support can review an unusual delay using the transaction reference.
Can I cancel a transfer?
You can ask AGS Pay to review a cancellation request, but cancellation depends on the actual processing stage. Once funds have been made available to the beneficiary, cancellation may no longer be possible. Contact support as quickly as possible if you made an error.
What happens if a transfer fails?
A transfer can fail because of incorrect beneficiary information, a network issue, unconfirmed payment, required verification or technical unavailability. AGS Pay reviews the status to determine whether the transfer can be corrected, retried or refunded where applicable.
How do I track my transfer?
After confirmation, tracking is available in the AGS Pay app and transaction history. Statuses can include Confirmed, Processing and Delivered, as well as review or failure states. Keep the transaction reference if you need support.
Why can AGS Pay request identity verification?
Identity verification helps protect accounts, reduce fraud and perform required compliance checks. Depending on the situation, AGS Pay or a specialized provider may request identification or additional information before an operation continues.
What if I entered incorrect beneficiary information?
Contact AGS Pay as soon as you notice the error and provide the transaction reference. If the transfer has not been delivered, AGS Pay can review whether a correction or stop is still possible. Recovery cannot be guaranteed after funds are delivered.
How can I protect my AGS Pay account?
Protect your phone, email and credentials, use your device lock, and never share passwords or verification codes. Be cautious with urgent messages asking for money or security codes. Contact AGS Pay promptly if you notice activity you do not recognize.
